Salford ended a 44-year wait to win away at St Helens after Deon Cross’ late try saw them complete a thrilling comeback victory against 12-man Saints.
The Red Devils last won away at Saints on January 12, 1980, and that run looked set to continue as Lewis Dodds’ second try put the hosts 20-6 behind.
Mark Percival was then send off after a shoulder charge on Jack Ormondroyd.
Tries from Nene MacDonald and Chris Atkin closed the gap, before Cross’s second score secured a historic win.
