Newcastle Falcons back-rower Freddie Lockwood has signed a new two-year deal to remain with the Premiership strugglers.
The 23-year-old came through the club’s academy and has gone on to make 39 senior Falcons appearances.
“It’s great to have signed up for another two seasons, and I’m happy to commit to the club,” he told the club’s official website.
“This is my fifth year here, and the Falcons mean everything to me.
“I’ve come through the academy, like a lot of the lads have, and it’s an amazing feeling to represent your local club in the top flight.”
Lockwood’s new deal with the club comes after lock Sebastian de Chaves signed a new two-year deal on Monday.
