England will begin their Euro 2025 title defence against Sweden at Wembley.

Sarina Wiegman’s side face Sweden in their opening qualifier on 5 April, the scene of their famous Euro 2022 final victory.

With France and the Republic of Ireland to come later in the group, England must finish in the top two to advance to the finals in Switzerland in 2025.

“Wembley holds such special memories,” said Wiegman.

England will play at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park for the first time when they host France on 31 May, while Norwich City’s Carrow Road awaits the Republic of Ireland on 16 July.

“Wherever we play in the country we have such fantastic support and I’m sure these games in London, Newcastle and Norwich will be no different,” added Wiegman.

“We will need to show up and perform, but there’s no doubt the fans can help us.”

With Switzerland automatically qualifying as hosts, there are 15 further spots up for grabs for the 2025 finals.

The top two nations in each of the groups will qualify automatically, while a further seven places are available via the play-offs.
