UK Snooker Championship 2022: BBC coverage, match schedule and results

[ad_1]

The UK Snooker Championship – the first of this season’s Triple Crown events – is under way at York’s Barbican Centre and you can watch live coverage across the BBC.

We have live action from every round on BBC TV and you can watch uninterrupted coverage on BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and the BBC Sport mobile app, with additional coverage on BBC Red Button.

There will be a new champion after 2021 winner Zhao Xintong was beaten in the first round on the opening day.

World champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, who won his first UK title in 1993, is seeking a record eight title.

Format

This year, the world’s top 16 automatically qualified while the other 16 players in the main draw had to come through a qualifying tournament in Sheffield.

All matches are best of 11 frames except for the final on 20 November, which is played over 19 frames and two sessions.

The winner will receive £250,000, up from £200,000 last year, and there is a prize of £15,000 for the highest break.
